The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal service organization of Catholic men of faith with over 1.7 million members. The organization is comprised of over 13,000 councils in 14 countries and growing. Knights are committed to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. They are dedicated to making a difference through goals which focus on the following areas of service; Faith, Community, Family, Youth, and Fellowship. Members who attain the honor of Fourth Degree Knighthood have the opportunity to become part of their assembly’s Color Corp. They participate in civic events such as parades, ceremonies, and ecclesial functions at Catholic churches. Color Corp members are recognized widely by their distinctive attire of tuxedo, feathered hat, cape and sword.

Annually, the Knights donate more than $144 million dollars and over 68 million hours of volunteer service to a wide range of church, community and charitable activities and programs. Who can join?

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to any Catholic man who is in union with the Holy See, and lives up to the Commandments of God and the Precepts of the church. The minimum age for joining is 18. Benefits of joining Becoming a Knight provides the opportunity to become part of a fraternity of other men of character and conviction who are driven by both faith and conscience to do truly meaningful work. Knighthood offers many rewards, but the most inviting is the knowledge that as a Knight you can truly make a difference.
